We are currently without power here on our hilltop. We have no phone service as well. Please forgive us if you are waiting to hear back - we can not access prior emails or messages. Hopefully we will be back on the grid in a few days.

Here is Cooper and his Horsey outside playing. He doesn't like to leave Horsey behind; he carries it everywhere with him.
Cooper is not for sale. We just wanted to show off how cute he and his horsey were. Cooper is beginning his show career now. Watch for him in a ring near you.
Lily finished her AKC Champion title in style. She won a four point major at the Classic Toy Dog Club of Western Mass. Specialty show on May 23rd. She was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite Sex. The judge was Dr. Gareth Morgan-Jones. Thank you to all the judges who gave Lily her wins and to Karen and Ron Galipeault for taking such good care of our little girl and presenting her so nicely in the ring.

One more major win and Lily comes back home a New Champion.
Andy and I were lucky enough to be able to sneak away to the ACKCSC National show in Cape Cod, MA. A special thank you to my parents for holding down the fort while we were gone and watching the children, and thank you to Katherine for coming and helping care for the dogs.
The site for the National show was very lovely. Since I was not showing any dogs myself, we decided to make the trip easier by leaving all the dogs home. However, once we arrived and saw hundreds of Cavaliers everywhere, Andy and I felt a little out of place not having any with us.
I was pleased with the overall quality of dogs that were there and I was also happy with the judges final choice for Best in Show, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite Sex. The Awards of Merit were given out to very deserving dogs as well. The Winners Bitch and Best of Winners was a lovely little black and tan girl. It was nice to see a wholecolor in the winner's circle.
Karen Galipeault expertly handled Lily for us in the Open Blenheim Bitch class. She was in a class of 16 girls and the judge made a cut of 5 dogs and excused the rest. Lily made the cut and remained in the ring for the final placings. However, she did not win a ribbon. It was nice for her to make the cut though. Here is a photo of her in the ring.
I took about 500+ photos at the show and will be printing them in this upcoming Summer Issue of The Royal Spaniels. If you'd like to see and read more about the show, make sure you check out that issue. It will also have coverage of the CKCSC National which is taking place this week in South Carolina.
Lily showed in Wilmington, DE under Judge Mrs. Nancy Hafner on 4/25 where she won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex. The next day at the Penn Treaty Kennel Club show she also won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex under Judge Mr. Stephen Regan.
Today Lily was at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club in West Springfield, MA. She took Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex for 2 points under Judge Mr. Darryl Vice. Lily just needs her 2 majors to become a Champion now.
Lily likes Rhode Island and the Smith's like her. Today, at the Rhode Island Kennel Club show in Providence, Lily again won Winners Bitch, Best of Opposite Sex and Best of Winners under Judge Mrs. Robert Smith.
It was a nice birthday present for Lily today.
Today Lily won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex at the Rhode Island Kennel Club show under Judge Dr. Robert D. Smith. She was expertly handled by Karen Galipeault.
Today our young hopeful, Stonehaven's Muddy Waters, "Cooper" went in his first show - the Elmira Kennel Club Sanctioned Match. He went around the ring like he owned it. He won Best Cavalier Puppy and went on to win a 2nd in the Toy Group. We have high hopes for this little boy.
Our son, Christian, also showed a dog. He took our lovely lady from the Netherlands, Wilfra's Flame v. Cavino, in the show ring. They placed first in their class. This was Flame's first time in the show ring also.
Lily does it again ... She won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex again today in CT under Judge Jon Cole at the First Company Governor's Foot Guard Athletic Assoc Show. It looks like she's on a roll.
Lily hit the show ring in Connecticut today. She won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex under Judge Kathleen Grosso at the Elm City Kennel Club Show. What a nice Valentine's Day present. Thank you to Ronnie Galipeault for expertly handling Lily in the ring today.
This little cutie is Stonehaven's Gift From Wilson. He's just a wee thing, born an only puppy in the litter and he loves all the extra attention he's getting from it. He's shown here stealing a free ride in my bathrobe pocket. "Willy" is now owned by Maggi and Dru.

The girls visited New Jersey today. Lily won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex at the Union County Kennel Club Show under Judge Ruth Zimmerman. Lacey was Reserve. The girls were handled by Karen and Ronnie Galipeault.

The win came at the Greater Daytona Dog Fanciers show under Judge Warren D. Hudson on Friday, January 3rd. Way to go Lacey and Karen! What a good way to kick off the New Year.
Our sweet little lady, Lacey, has started her show career. On December 4th she showed in Boston, MA at The Middlesex County Kennel Club show. Her first time out and she showed off her stuff very nicely. Lacey was Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex. Thank you to Judge Raymond Filburn for recognizing our lovely lady on her first time out. Thank you also to Karen Galipeault for expertly handling Lacey.

We've been busy here at Stonehaven. In October 2006, our family grew with the birth of our third (and final) son, Eli Andrew Cornwell. We're pleased to say that he seems to carry the animal lover genes.
With all of the things going on at our house, the decision was made to stop showing and breeding Papillons and just focus on the Cavaliers. We still co-own a few of our show dogs, and they reside with their co-owners.
We do have some nice litters planned this year and some beautiful dogs that will be hitting the show ring, so stay tuned.
